Nicola Coughlan Bridgerton Easter Egg Twitter Reveal

By now I would hope you had the common sense enjoying the Bridgerton glory, but if you haven’t, now you better turn your back because there are big spoilers down below !!

Okay, recently Nicola Coughlan – aka Penelope Featherington – tweeted that she picked up a slightly larger Easter egg in the very first episode of the series.

Ok, I’m just curious, did anyone spot the massive Easter egg over Penelope in the very first scene of Bridgerton?

As someone who has read all of the books and played the series more than once, I like to think of myself as the BuzzFeed-based Bridgerton expert. But, dear reader, even I did not notice this hidden gem.

When fans hypothesized in the responses, Nicola responded to a specific tweet and OMG:

I immediately signed up for Netflix and found that Penelope was on screen for the first time in the show’s pilot, and see for yourself.

Should i zoom in?

Yes! A feathered feather with a huge ass. (Feathered … feather tones, tea tea.)

Anyone who watched the final episode of Season 1 knows that Penelope was exposed as Lady Whistledown. So a feather is an extremely apt symbol when I say it myself.

And of course Nicola thought so too. “I picked a prop for the scene where you first see Penelope. That prop happened to be a giant feather that looked a lot like … a quill pen,” she shared on Twitter.

After Nicola dropped the golden goose of an Easter egg, he shared another tidbit:

There are lots of little pointers out there if you watch again, let me know if you discover any more and I can 💛 confirm / reject
