Last year Nick Cannon had some big projects planned. However, things stalled after he made some anti-Semitic comments on his podcast. As a result, Nick decided to take some time and some projects were put on hold, including his syndicated talk show.
Now the ball is rolling again and his show can begin and will premiere this fall.
According to the deadline, Debgate-Mercury will launch Lionsgate Nicks nationally syndicated talk show with Fox TV stations as the anchor. The upcoming talk show is described as “an exciting, fun, and uplifting show that reflects Cannon’s brand of celebrity, music, comedy, and pop culture.”
Talking about his talk show, Nick said, “It has been a longstanding dream of mine to have my own daytime talk show and that I can do it in New York City to bring daytime TV back to the place that has nurtured generations of people Talent is something very special to me. With this show we will bring together all aspects of entertainment in a unique way in the place where much of what we know today when our culture began. I couldn’t ask for better partners than Debmar-Mercury and Fox, and thank them for helping me through this endeavor. “
As previously reported, Lionsgate and its Debmar-Mercury department said at the time: “We stand by Nick in the hope that in the fall of 2021 he will be able to use his extraordinary talent and platform to entertain his audiences around the world and Unite Talk Show by Nick Cannon. “
Ira Bernstein and Mort Marcus, Co-Presidents of Debmar-Mercury, discussed the new fall premiere of the 2021 show, adding, “We’re excited, along with our many other strong broadcast partners, to bring Nick’s unique, light-hearted and entertaining style to the daytime audience Autumn. “
Nick will also serve as executive producer for the talk show alongside his Michael Goldman and show runners Katy Murphy Davis and Matt Strauss.
