Jared Leto's story as a method actor is no small matter

Nobody can ever blame Jared Leto to be lazy when it comes to work.

During his nearly three decades career, the actor has taken on roles in such films as The Suicide Squad and Dallas Buyers Club. Both projects were of different seriousness, but Leto approached each role with the same intensity that he gives to any character he takes on.

And that intensity shows in his decision to embody his roles on and off the set.

By doing Darren Aronofsky In the movie Requiem For a Dream, Leto dropped £ 25 for his role as Harry Goldfarb, a heroin addict. At the time, the star told The Telegraph it was “painful” to lose so much weight and recalled, “I was always hungry. I passed out while on set.”

Eventually he was in the hospital where he learned that his “bone marrow has fallen 400 points”.

Even so, the actor said it was a “rewarding” experience. “I don’t know if you’ve ever fasted, but there were some moments towards the end when I had hallucinations,” he told the newspaper. “I would look up at the sky and get a sense of complete serenity.”
