Helena Bonham Carter joins the BBC comedy ‘The Cleaner’
Helena Bonham Carter and Peep Show star David Mitchell are among the cast in the BBC comedy The Cleaner. The series was written and written by Inbetweeners and Taskmaster star Greg Davies and is a remake of a German comedy. The focus is on Paul ‘Wicky’ Wickstead, who wipes crime scenes after the police finish their detective work. Other cast members include Stephanie Cole (still open 24/7), Donald Sumpter (Game Of Thrones), Shobu Kapoor (four weddings and a funeral), Ruth Madeley (years and years), Layton Williams (all talking about Jamie Musical) and Zita Sattar (Victim), Georgie Glen (The Crown), Bill Skinner (Ted Lasso) and Esmonde Cole (Still So Awkward). The cleaner is manufactured by Studio Hamburg UK and sold internationally by BBC Studios. Filming has started and will premiere later this year.

Hayu continues European growth
NBCUniversal International’s reality streamer Hayu has been launched in a further 11 countries. Hayu will be available for the first time in Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, Switzerland, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic and will now be offered directly to consumers in Germany and Austria. The streamer is now available in 27 countries including the UK and Australia. It features shows like Keeping Up With The Kardashians and The Real Housewives franchise.
MTV International orders “Celebrity Bumps: Famous & Pregnant”
MTV International commissioned the reality series Celebrity Bumps: Famous & Pregnant. The nine-part show, produced by Appeal TV, will accompany celebrity couples on their pregnancy trips, including ex beach star Charlotte Dawson, Big Brother UK star Kate Lawler and Marcel Somerville from Love Island. The 9 x 44 minute episodes were commissioned by Craig Orr and Kerry Taylor for MTV International. The series is produced by Orr and Jaime Brannan for MTV and Jake Attwell for Appeal TV.
