Sam Asghari is reportedly still using his ties to ex-wife Britney Spears to get close to some of Hollywood’s biggest stars.
Asghari ran into Brad Pitt at a small gallery exhibition in Beverly Hills on Thursday and an eyewitness told the US Sun that the personal trainer name dropped the “Toxic” singer to score a picture with the A-list actor.
“Britney Spears’ ex Sam Asghari was also there and went up and asked for a selfie with Brad, mentioning how much the singer loved him,” the source told the outlet.
Although it’s unclear if Pitt knew who Asghari was, the “Bullet Train” star is notably gunning to produce a screen adaptation of Britney Spears’ memoir, an insider told Page Six in November.
Asghari — who split from Spears in August 2023 — later shared the photo on his Instagram, joking that he got “a lot of great skin care tips” from Pitt, who has his own line of skin-care products called Le Domaine.
“At the #bennettmiller 🖼️ @gagosian with some cool people last night,” the aspiring actor, 29, captioned the picture of him standing next to Pitt, whose skin looked impressively smooth.
However, some of Spears’ fans took the post as a dig at the pop icon due to her infatuation with the “Fight Club” actor.
“This is rude because you know Britney loves Brad Pitt,” one fan wrote, to which another added, “Trolling B again.”
“Would people even know who you are if you hadn’t been married to Britney?” a third chimed in. “I can’t be the only one who thinks this🤷🏻♀️.”

Although others suggested that the photo looked edited or that Asghari was actually standing next to a “wax figure” of the Oscar winner, Page Six obtained photos of Pitt leaving the gallery last week.
The 60-year-old actor was joined by girlfriend Ines de Ramon for a rare date night at friend Bennett Miller’s exhibition.
In the photos, Pitt wore the same brown leather bomber jacket and dark wash jeans that were seen in Asghari’s photo.
Along with meeting Asghari, Pitt also came face-to-face with ex-wife Angelina Jolie’s father, Jon Voight, and her brother, James Haven.
The same source told the US Sun that other guests “noticed how awkward it was” between Pitt and his former family given how small the gallery was.
The run-in also came just a week after Pitt’s former brother-in-law admitted he became very protective over Jolie amid her contentious divorce from the actor.
However, Haven was reportedly “amicable and acknowledged Brad” but they didn’t talk and “stood apart for the duration of the event speaking with friends.”
The insider suggested that Pitt had no idea that they would be in attendance.
